Anjathey

Anjathey is a story of two middle class families living in police quarters. Naren (Sathya) is an irresponsible guy who always ends up in unwanted fights and roams around after finishing his graduation. Kriba best friend of Sathya lives in the opposite house and aspires to become a SI. Since both of their parents are head constables, they wish their son becomes a SI. Sathya is illtreated by his father for not being responsible like Kriba. After these insultsand comparisons he appears for the SI selection and gets selected through strong recommendation. Kriba fails and gets angry on Sathya for the same. With all these frustration in mind Kriba slowly moves to illegal activities even without his own knowledge.Vijayalakshmi as Uthra plays the role of Kriba's sister and loves Sathya since her childhood. There is no romance between them. Sathya completes his training successfuly and fights to sustain in the real life scenario. He gets allergitic to blood and death and feels difficult to carry on amist the criminal world, with heartless people for whom death has become a part of life.

Ooops I forgot to tell you about our villians. Pandiyarajan as logu and Prasanna as Daya leads their life kidnapping young girls, demanding their parents for money and raping them to stop them going to police.

Sathya involves in this case with ponvannan and identifies the kidnappers as Logu and daya. Meanwhile Kriba had already involved in the crime with them. How Sathya helps in resolving the case and saves his own friend is the climax of the movie.

I wish i could have typed the story still more short but i simply cant resist telling it. Hope I didnt reveal the suspense of the movie. Naren as done his best. The scenes in which he is afraid of blood and his true feel for the victims are good. He is good. Prasanna as villian as done good, though he doesnt seems to be. I think they had kept the long hair to cover his face and trying their best to give the feel of the villian. I am very sorry to say u dont feel it. Apart from the looks I should say he as done justice to the role.

Camera, editing and direction is also neat. I felt the film was little lenghty, they could have tried to cut short it. The suspense, thrill and pace was maintained throughout the film except the climax. May be the director would have thought he should give the audience so much detail to give the feel of it.. you remember the movie Dog Day when you see the climax of the movie. Small minus is acceptable in any good movie. Anjathey is comes under my personal classification of good movie.
